Once you complete the online registration form and make at least one week's payment of $195, your child's name is added to my list and you are enrolled in the camp. Students will need to bring packed lunches daily. Want to know what to expect at STEAM for Success Summer Camp? Here are the details! Kiddos will experience themed days such as Dino Day, Snow Day, Explosions & Eruptions, Up, Up & Away Day. Each day of each week has its own theme, no two days will be the same! Each themed day will include: A fun, old school style science experiment such as Coke & Mentos, sink or float, and dissecting owl pellets An engineering task, such as Lego Landmark Challenge, building a zipline for toy figurines, and constructing marble tracks An art project such as watercolors, clay volcanoes, and bubble art There will be robots to play with, a 3D printer to try, but mostly the kiddos will enjoy hands on playful learning without sitting in front of a screen all day. We will have a guest speaker each week, an engineer or two, a talented chef, and other experienced community members. This program is designed to let kids be kids and explore science, tech, engineering, art, and math in a relaxed, fun setting. There will be a lot of play with STEAM activities and toys. This is not a serious, college campus type of setting. It is geared toward all age groups, so even the youngest kiddos can enjoy the fun, and the older ones can be challenged as well. All staff at STEAM for Success are experienced VCS teachers & paraprofessionals, and volunteers. **** STEAM for Success is not affiliated with Volusia County Schools.*** Comments are closed.
